Leon Bet Review
The Leon brand appeared back in 1998, created by Leon Gaming Limited, a company licensed in Canada. At that time, it was one of the largest offline books in the world, operating in Canada, the USA and some European countries. But what happened later was that these countries, one after another, began to ban sports betting. The United States was the first to do this, which caused the shares of Leon Gaming Limited and many other companies to fall significantly in price.
In 2007 the office issued a Curacao license and began operating under the Leonbets brand, focusing mainly on users from Eastern Europe and the CIS countries.
Registration and account creation
After BC Leon began legally accepting online bets, the registration procedure became somewhat more complicated. Now between sending the completed registration form and the first bet, a couple more steps have been added. Let’s look at the whole procedure point by point:
Create an account on the official leon website. There is nothing complicated here, you just need to fill out the form, creating a login and password to enter, indicating contact details and other information about yourself.
Line
BC Leon has a frankly weak pre-match line: there are only the most popular and in-demand sports. If you prefer small markets, there are few of them here, and there are no exotic ones at all.
The football line is modest. Many valuable championships and tournaments are missing; you can mainly bet only on the 2nd and 3rd divisions, which few people are interested in.
The situation with tennis is similar, there are no Davis Cup or Grand Slam tournaments in the line, but only a couple from the ATP and the Fed Cup.
The hockey line is best represented, in which you can find almost all championships: KHL, NHL, VHL, even the Belarusian Extraleague is available. Hockey fans will be pleased.
There are no non-sports events. If you prefer to bet on the results of various events from the world of politics, television shows or series, then you should look elsewhere.
Live section
The BC Leon live line covers only seven sports, and this is disappointing. And if you try to analyze each of them separately, you may be even more disappointed. When this review was written, only ten matches from different football tournaments were available for betting, and not the most interesting ones. In other sports the situation is approximately the same. There are no broadcasts, not even text ones. Overall, LIVE is an absolute failure for this company.
Painting
In the tennis line, the list is even worse; for the central ATP match, held in London, only 17 special stages are presented, and for less important events this number is two to three times less.
The hockey pre-match line was the best among the rest, and the same situation is observed with the painting. In hockey, you can bet on statistics, handicaps, totals and much more.
In general, the painting does not make me happy and only adds negativity to the existing opinion about BC Leon. Summer 2018 The management of the office decided to significantly expand the painting, but this situation practically did not improve the situation.
Odds
The best offer of the bookmaker Leon relates to football. For the most popular games, the margin is set at 3%, which is very good for a domestic book. For slightly less valuable, but also top championships, games of the second degree of importance, as well as handicaps and totals, the margin used to be 11-12%, but now it is several times less!
The company clearly earns more in other sports. More precisely, a year ago the situation was worse, now it is clearly better. The margin range in hockey is approximately 4-8%, depending on the type of bet and the popularity of the championship. The situation is similar with tennis: 3-5% for the most popular games and about 6-7% for simpler matches and additional outcomes.
In general, Leon has recently become much more attractive in terms of odds. If previously it was possible to earn something almost exclusively from football, now other sports have also stepped up.
Results
BC Leon has a long history and has gained many fans during its existence. Due to recent changes from legal bookmakers, Leon occupies a fairly high place in my personal rating: the not very wide line and the not particularly outstanding live are now compensated by very decent odds. For me, these are the main criteria by which you can evaluate a bookmaker. The company just needs to add broadcasts and everything will be fine.
